Need a little diet help? (Medifast and Shakeology Review)

I’ve had some remarkable success in taking of weight.  I’ve already posted about how I’ve used P90X to firm up and gain lean muscle while I burned fat but exercise alone is not enough.  You need to diet as well.  For a comprehensive diet there is nothing like using Medifast.  You get five small meals a day and it’s both low calorie and low carb.  This tends to get your body to utilize fat stores for energy which means you are losing fat which is what you want to lose.

Of course you may not be looking for an entire meal system.  Maybe you just need a simple meal replacement for one or two meals a day.  If that sounds more like you, there is nothing I can recommend more than Shakeology “the healthiest meal of the day”.  I have a full Shakeology review up on my other blog but in short what I like about this shake is that it’s more than high quality protein, it has over 70 super nutritents so you are improving your health while you curb your appetite, gain energy and lose weight effortlessly.

Do You Really Need a Vitamin?

This is a hotly debated topic. Do you really need a vitamin? Well if your diet is top notch with at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day, probably not. But seriously, how many of us actually have good diets anymore?

Also worth considering is whether you are exercising. At least if you are exercising significantly or intensely. Those who run a couple miles a day or do intense workouts like Beachbody’s Insanity, are placing significant strains on their bodies and should consider a well rounded multivitamin for good health.

One multivitamin I really like is the Activit Metabolism Formula vitamin. I take this daily and what I like about it aside from having all the core vitamins I need in a balanced formula is that it also has anti-oxidants to keep me from aging. And with green tea and L-Carnitine, it helps with my weight loss goals also.
